Growing Up

Tonight I held him a little longer and we rocked together. He rarely lets me rock him anymore, but tonight I needed him to be a baby just one more night. He speaks in full sentences, making sure we all know that even though he is the smallest he can still be the loudest. His hair has lost the curls. He only had two teeth on his last birthday, now he has them all and can brush them by himself. He hasn't had an accident in three days and wears his Diego big boy underwear with pride. He can unlock (and lock) doors, operate the soap dispenser and put away his clothes. Yesterday he jumped off the swing and landed on his feet...intentionally.

He's my last baby. He was a precious gift for my 30th birthday which made it a little easier to swallow. He can charm the pants off anyone. He loves his big brother and sister and they love him more than words can say.

To my baby Devan Jeremiah, you'll always be my little boy. Happy Birthday son!
