Winds blew in yesterday and brought cold air with them. Not the 6 degrees of Beloit WI, mind you, but still 20s for us is rare and we are definitely NOT used to it! We had no choice but to fill our family room with mattresses and cover the doorways with sheets to block in the heat. All animals and people had to sleep together and it felt like a real live version of the manger scene, lemme tell ya! We can't afford heat in any other room except the addition which is insulated properly so when it gets really cold it gets R E A L L Y cold inside the house. Guess that's what we get for renting an old house, eh? Believe me, this experience has taught us a few things about what to look for in our next house!
