Inside these walls

Wow, what a journey! The last two weeks have been full of wonderful blessings, straight from the hand of God. Have you ever prayed for something very, very specific and been blessed with that very thing you asked for? I have, many times over. And this situation was nothing short of a very beautiful perfect miracle.

A week ago Friday we were preparing to sign an apartment lease for Nate and rent a car for me to drive away to another state to live with my sister. All day Friday I kept avoiding the computer, not wanting to make the rental car reservation just yet. I was confused as to why we had to split up our family one more time, was this really the plan God had for us?

And then the phone rang and suddenly we were given the great gift of a home! Our soon-to-be landlord felt called to pursue us as renters despite many others interested. Bless us once! The timing was, as he told us, perfect for him that we move in by Saturday the 12th. Saturday the 12th happened to be our very last day of temporary housing. Bless us twice! Nate's HR representative offered to extend our housing through the weekend so that we could unpack and move in but still have somewhere to sleep at night. Bless us three times! Thanks to a family member's response to God's leading we had enough money to move in. Bless us four times! Our storage place had a free truck for us to use for both days and we were able to move ourselves into the house over the weekend. Bless us five times! Right away neighbors stopped over to welcome us and the kids made new friends to ride bikes with. Bless us six times! The house accommodates our large family perfectly plus extra room. For once we feel as though we're in a home, a neighborhood, meant just for us. Bless us seven times!

70 times 7 really. There are many more blessings that have come along the way. Too many to count. That's how we know it was God's plan all along. And even though I had given up and started down my own road of planning, God still chose to bless me. And teach me. And show me that despite very hard times you can still feel love and joy and peace. What a wonderful God we serve, all the glory to Him!
